The English term “pop-up” established itself as the term used in Germany to
 colourfully describe this special book form Pop-up books’ fascination lies in
  their ability to mechanically transform a book’s pages into a three dimensional
   scene over and over again.

  Kubasta created more than one hundred Pop-up book masterpieces in various
 forms and utilizing a range of techniques. Not only is the number of published
works to be marvelled but also their thematic range and the richness of their
creativity are even today without peer.
